Wood knife scales and blocks
The wooden knife handle is the raw material of the oldest handle of knives.
Wood knife handle material can come from many sources, so eg domestic (European) species and exotic wood species also provide beautiful wood knife handle material.
Wood knife handle materials are usually available in two forms:
Knife wood handle panels - these are for panel knives where the knife handle continues to run the full length and width of the steel
Knife Wood Grip Blocks - These are the chosen materials for handle knife knives, where the blade tapers into the handle as it tapers.
It is very important that the natural wood handle is treated with some kind of oil, for this you can buy many oils such as Flaxseed Oil, Teak Oil, etc. These oils cut the wood on the handle of the knife from rot.
